The Foundation includes renowned museums such as the Pergamon Museum and the Neue Nationalgalerie, as well as the Berlin State Library, the State Secret Archives, the Ibero-American Institute, and the State Institute for Music Research. All of these institutions are supported by a central administrative unit, which is also responsible for hiring and other personnel matters.
Research assistant, secretary, carpenter, or museum director—the tasks of the foundation’s staff are as varied as the foundation itself. Each year, the SPK also trains numerous interns, trainee teachers, and apprentices.

As a public service agency, the SPK offers attractive working conditions

  • Compensation in accordance with public sector regulations, including an annual bonus and a company pension (for employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement)
