Central Procurement Services

As a federal foundation under public law (part of the indirect administrative structure), the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) is bound, in its procurement procedures, by the regulations for the award of public contracts. The Central Procurement Services department ensures that these procedures run smoothly.

Since 2019, Central Procurement Services has gradually taken over responsibility for all procurement by the SPK and its institutions. Furthermore, the SPK is one of the bodies piloting the federal government's future contracting management system (VMS Bund), which is meant to ensure seamless operation via interfaces with the subordinate procurement systems.

For the contract award procedure, the foundation uses external, digital processes on the federal government's e-procurement platform, “e-Vergabe”. Our calls for tender are announced online via this platform.

Compliance with the provisions for protecting bidders and applicants

Businesses have the right to demand compliance on the part of the contracting public authority (in this case the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz) with the provisions protecting bidders and applicants in the contract award procedure. Central Procurement Services draws attention to the applicable procedures for legal redress and the deadlines to be observed.
