Visitor days in the Pergamonmuseum south wing shortly before the start of construction - opening hours extended

More tickets available! 7 to 9 March 2025: Babylon in Berlin - Visitor Days at the Pergamonmuseum South Wing
The first tickets for the visiting days at the Pergamonmuseum were sold out within a few days. On Monday, 3 March 2025, additional ticket contingents will be released for sale from 12 noon. At the same time, the opening hours will be extended to 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on all three days.
"Due to the great interest, we have decided to extend the opening hours - on all three days, visitors can now even visit the architectural highlights in the south wing of the Pergamonmuseum in the evening and find out about the urgently needed construction work!" explains Hermann Parzinger, President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation.
The Pergamonmuseum is currently completely closed. The north and centre sections with the Pergamon Altar will open in spring 2027, while construction work will soon begin in the south wing and Miletus Hall.
Before then, the doors of the south wing will open to visitors once again. A unique moment: the Museum of the Ancient Near East, the Collection of Classical Antiquities and the Museum of Islamic Art have vacated their exhibition rooms there for a year. All that remains in the building are the great architectures: the Ishtar Gate, the Processional Way of Babylon and the Market Gate of Miletus. In addition to empty rooms, the magnificent main attractions can still be seen without protective enclosures on visitor days. Display boards and guides provide information about the planned measures and special features of the construction work in the listed building.

Tickets: 5 euros, concessions 2.50 euros. Free admission according to the usual discounts of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin (e.g. up to 18 years and for holders of an annual pass)
