Every day, people in Berlin and Brandenburg experience racism. The social video series "Don't call me..." from two public radio stations, radioeins and rbbKultur, listens to what they have to say. From May 15 to 18, 2021, the series will be projected onto the façade of the James Simon Galerie (James Simon Gallery) in the evening hours. In addition, radioeins and the television channel rbb Fernsehen are organizing a discussion about diversity to be broadcast on May 18, Germany's Diversity Day. Presenters Hadnet Tesfai and Sophia Wetzke talk with authors Dr. Natasha A. Kelly, Olga Grjasnowa and Mohamed Amjahid, scholar Josephine Apraku, politician Jeff Kwasi Klein, and the director of the Museum für Islamische Kunst (Museum of Islamic Art) Professor Stefan Weber. The talk will be streamed on radioeins.de and rbbkultur.de on May 18 at 7 pm. It can also be viewed on YouTube and at the ARD media library in the section "Kultur". On Diversity Day, you can listen to it on radioeins at 7 pm or watch it on rbb Fernsehen at 1:45 pm.

Hermann Parzinger, President of the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation), commented: "Our society is changing. Cultural institutions should not simply talk about the variety and diversity in their collections; they also have to adjust to a changed clientèle. Since this is a question of how we interact with one another, and since Museumsinsel (Museum Island) is a place where people can learn that we have always shared our history and our culture with others, the rbb project has come to the right place."
