Information on prevention measures for COVID-19 in SPK

SPK is closely observing current developments concerning COVID-19 and has set up a crisis team for this purpose. Details on the handling in the individual museums, libraries and archives of SPK can be found on their websites.

The Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation is closely monitoring the dynamically developing situation and the spread of the novel coronavirus. It coordinates regularly with the responsible authorities in order to be able to react at short notice. Existing emergency plans, checklists and measures are constantly reviewed and updated. Colleagues are informed about preventive measures.

Status 12.03.2020: From Saturday, 14 March 2020, the National Museums in Berlin, the Berlin State Library, the Secret State Archives Prussian Cultural Heritage, the National Institute for Music Research and the Ibero-American Institute will remain closed for the public until further notice. Status 10.03.2020: Currently all SPK institutions are running in normal operation and are open. Visitors and users are requested to observe the usual hygiene measures. In order to support the containment strategy in Germany, the Foundation's management recommends that ist institutions cancel events that are expected to involve more than 50 people.
