Hermann Parzinger elected member of the British Academy

Hermann Parzinger, prehistorian, archaeologist and President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, was recently elected as a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy.
Hermann Parzinger says: "I am certain that my membership of the British Academy will further strengthen the profile of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation as a scientific institution and will be conducive to the strategic international networking of the SPK."
Founded in 1902, the British Academy is the UK's national academy for the humanities, promoting cutting-edge research and international exchange. It consists of almost 900 academics. Hermann Parzinger is a member of various academies, including the Research Centre of Ancient Civilization of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Pe-king (since 2000), a corresponding member of the Real Academia de la Historia in Madrid (since 2003) and a full member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (since 2005).
