Federal Ministry of Economics supports SPK with brand development and fundraising strategy
Press release from 08/21/2009
As part of the Federal Government's "Cultural and Creative Industries Initiative", the Federal Ministry of Economics is supporting the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation's plan to improve its income situation through new approaches and structures and to generate more of its own funds in the long term.
Hermann Parzinger, President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, explains: "The Foundation is currently optimising and expanding its activities to generate its own financial resources. A sustainable brand architecture, including the development of a contemporary corporate design and an efficient fundraising strategy, are crucial to this. I am delighted that we can now build a stable foundation for this with the funding from the Federal Ministry of Economics."
The SPK has already taken the first steps in the organisational structure and founded a Development Unit, the staffing of which will be financed for three years by the Museum Island Board of Trustees. Cultural manager Dr Stephan N. Barthelmess has been put in charge. For the process of brand development and the establishment of a professional fundraising structure, it will utilise the services of agencies, which will be made possible by the funds now provided by the Federal Ministry of Economics. The aim is to strengthen the public perception of the foundation and its parts and at the same time to utilise the potential to improve the economic situation of the SPK.
