The Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz is offering all visitors affected by the current power outage in Berlin free admission to all museums of the National Museums in Berlin and to the Musical Instrument Museum of the State Institute for Music Research from now until Sunday 11 January 2026.

In this way, the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz would also like to make a contribution to supporting those directly affected and offer a warm place to stay during this difficult time.

SPK President Marion Ackermann explains: "The SPK is also particularly committed to the south-west of Berlin - but of course all our museums are open to those affected!"

Free admission applies to all those affected by the power outage, including school classes and groups. The free tickets will be issued easily and confidentially at the ticket offices on site.

The National Museums in Berlin include the museums on Museum Island Berlin and at the Kulturforum, as well as the MEK in Dahlem and the Museum of Photography and the Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection in Charlottenburg.

The other SPK institutions are open to everyone free of charge during their opening hours: the Berlin State Library with the Stabi Kulturwerk, the Secret State Archives PK (in Dahlem), and the Ibero-American Institute.
