Four of the five institutions of the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) have buildings at the Kulturforum. During the period when Berlin was divided, it was the location where most of the new buildings were constructed. Today the Foundation is working to establish its identity as essentially a location for the art and culture of the twentieth century.
