Until 14 September: Season of the Kolonnaden Bar on Museum Island is extended

Press release from 08/28/2025

Due to its great success and the good weather, SPK, the Berlin Vagabund brewery and visitBerlin want to run Berlin's most beautiful summer venue for a fortnight longer - Kolonnaden-Bar opens every Wednesday to Sunday from 2pm and 4pm to 10pm

The Colonnade Bar is the summer hit par excellence! Due to its great success, the city's most beautiful summer venue will continue to attract visitors until 14 September. The Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, the Berlin Vagabund Brewery and visitBerlin, who are jointly organising the island summer, have agreed on this.

"The Kolonnaden-Bar really crowned the island's anniversary. This Arcadian location has a Mediterranean flair. And that's exactly what magically attracted so many guests. I am delighted that we can extend the island summer by two weeks and would like to thank visitBerlin and the Vagabund Brewery for this wonderful collaboration," says Matthias Wemhoff, Director of the Museum of Prehistory and Early History and spokesperson for the Museum Island.

Dr Heinrich Schulz, Managing Director of the Vagabund Brewery, says: "It is a great pleasure for us to be able to operate the Kolonnaden Bar in this setting. The atmosphere, the flair and the many enthusiastic faces have carried us through. It makes us incredibly proud to bring so many people together and extend a piece of the island summer together. We would like to thank all our partners who made this experience possible!"

Under the motto "Here We Are", the Kolonnaden will now become an open stage for a new festival until 14 September: the focus will continue to be on an eclectic mix of music, performance and small everyday moments - performed by artists with very different backgrounds, perspectives and voices. The festival creates space for exchange, for new ideas and for everything that makes Berlin special: diversity, creativity and open dialogue.

The Kolonnaden-Bar is open Wednesdays to Fridays from 4pm to 10pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 2pm to 10pm.
