Staatliche Museen zu Berlin

  • 2G for the museums: entry to the museums (incl. participation in guided tours, workshops and other events inside the museum buildings) is permitted only with a digitally readable EU vaccination or recovery certificate (on a smartphone or as a print-out). The yellow vaccination certificate from the WHO is not accepted as sufficient proof.

  • People under 18 years old are exempt from the 2G requirement, but a negative test certificate must be presented instead. Also exempt are people who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. They must present a negative test certificate as well as a doctor's certificate stating that they are unable to be vaccinated. For school pupils, a school identity card issued by Berlin or Brandenburg may be presented instead of a test certificate. Children up to the age of six are not obliged to take a test.

  • You must book a time slot ticket for your visit. You can do this online and are advised to do so well in advance.

  • Visitors aged six and over are required to wear a medical face mask or FFP2 face mask and to keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from other people at all times.

  • The reading and study rooms may only be entered in compliance with the 2G rule, that is by presenting proof of full vaccination or recovery as described above. Visitors are required to wear a medical or FFP2 face mask.

Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin

  • 2G in the reading room: visitors wanting to use the reading rooms must comply with the 2G rule. Proof of full vaccination or recovery as well as a personal identity document must be presented at the entrances.

  • 3G when picking up reserved books: books reserved for external use can be picked up at the corresponding counter of the building on Potsdamer Straße, subject to compliance with 3G conditions until further notice.

  • A medical mask must be worn in all parts of the building, including workplaces.

Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut

  • 2G in the reading room: beginning on Wednesday, 08.12., the 2G rules apply to visitors wishing to access the reading room of the IAI. You must furnish proof of full vaccination or recovery from infection within the last six months. Please show your electronic or printed 2G document at the IAI entrance .

  • 2G rules also apply if you want to pick up or return media, or to spend time in the reading room, for example at a workplace.

  • In addition, an FFP2 mask must be worn at all times while you are in the reading room. These measures are enforced in the interest of protecting our visitors and employees.

Staatliches Institut für Musikforschung

  • 2G for the museum: only fully vaccinated or recovered individuals with digitally verifiable EU certificates may enter the museum and take part in the events, guided tours, workshops, and concerts

  • If you cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons, you must present a negative PCR test as well as a medical certificate that proves your inability to be vaccinated.

  • The 2G requirement does not apply to visitors under 18 years old, who may instead furnish documentary proof of a negative test (PCR or rapid lateral flow: PCR test not older than 48 hours, lateral flow test not older than 24 hours). For school pupils, a school identity card issued by Berlin or Brandenburg may be presented instead of a test certificate. Children up to the age of six are not obliged to take a test.

  • You must wear an FFP2 mask in all parts of the museum and during events. This applies to all visitors aged six and over. A medical certificate does not exempt you from the obligation to wear a mask.

  • At events, guided tours, workshops, and concerts, a list of the visitors present will be kept.

Geheimes Staatsarchiv

  • 2G in libraries and archives: access only for people who have been fully vaccinated or recovered and can present proof in the form of valid certification.

  • On the premises of the Geheimes Staatsarchiv PK – as long as you are not exclusively at the workplace while maintaining a minimum distance of 1.5 m from other persons – you are required to wear an FFP2 mask. A medical mask is not sufficient.

  • The facilities may only be used in person after you have made an appointment and received confirmation.
