Notturno' at the 'Pergamonmuseum. The Panorama' on 06.03. An ensemble of the DSO plays works by Biber, Britten and Zelenka

On 6 March, an ensemble from the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester
Berlin (DSO) will continue the popular 'Notturno' concert series. The venue is the
temporary exhibition building 'Pergamonmuseum. The Panorama', with
the 360° panorama of the ancient metropolis
Pergamon designed by Yadegar Asisi. The programme includes works for oboe, bassoon, violin,
double bass and harpsichord by Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber, Benjamin Britten
and Jan Dismas Zelenka. Before the concert, which begins at 10 pm,
at 9 pm Dr Martin Maischberger, Deputy Director of the Collection of Classical Antiquities,
will welcome visitors. Afterwards, Yadegar Asisi will give a short
introductory talk before experienced mediators from the Staatliche Museen
zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz offer guided tours of the exhibition and
the panorama. The event is already sold out.


The temporary exhibition building 'Pergamonmuseum. The Panorama'
opposite the Museum Island houses important original
masterpieces from Pergamon as well as the impressive 360° panorama by
Yadegar Asisi. On 6 March, a chamber ensemble - consisting of
DSO members Viola Wilmsen (oboe), Karoline Zurl (bassoon), Lauriane
Vernhes (violin), Christine Felsch (double bass), oboist Marie-Luise
Modersohn and harpsichordist Michaela Hasselt - will perform a varied
programme of works by Biber, Britten and Zelenka.


For ten years now, the DSO and the Prussian
Cultural Heritage Foundation have been delighting Berlin chamber music audiences with their concert series 'Notturno'
in places of art and knowledge. The unique interplay of
virtuoso chamber music in dialogue with extraordinary spaces and
collections always creates diverse and inspiring art experiences.
