Yesterday evening saw the spectacular conclusion of the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University Competition 2018 ended yesterday evening. it was held in the subjects of piano and composition. It was performed by the Konzerthausorchester Berlin under the direction of Corinna Niemeyer. This year's prize winners are

The prizewinners' concert will soon be available in the UdK Berlin media centre at www.udk-berlin.de.
The competition is organised by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation , the Rectors' Conference of German Music Universities and the Berlin University of the Arts. The artistic director is Prof Dr Sebastian Nordmann, director of the Konzerthaus Berlin. Patron of the competition is Andris Nelsons, Music Director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and newly appointed Gewandhauskapellmeister of the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.
