SPK website revised: Focus on news and thematic dossiers

Press release from 11/17/2016

The Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation has further developed its website www.preussischer-kulturbesitz.de and now presents itself online in a more up-to-date way and for the first time with an overview of what is happening throughout the Foundation.

A "Newswall" on the homepage, topic dossiers and an improved search function have now been activated. The "Newswall" provides current and audience-orientated insights into the work of the SPK with news from the SPK and its institutions. This overall view of what is happening within the foundation is supplemented by picture galleries and dossiers that provide up-to-date information on SPK-relevant topics. The first dossiers are dedicated, for example, to the plans of the National Museums in Berlin for the Humboldt Forum or - accompanying the exhibition of the same name - to the musician and composer Ferruccio Busoni. In future, selected content from the SPK magazine will also be published in the dossiers.

The existing content has been retained in the further development, but has been updated and visually refreshed. The "Newsroom" sub-section has been newly introduced, in which all topics and services for journalists and those interested in news are summarised. The search function has also been improved and positioned in a more user-friendly way to enable users to find the topics they are looking for with just a few clicks. The international significance of SPK is now better reflected online, as news items are now also translated into English. The entire website can also be used on mobile devices thanks to its responsive design. The graphic and technical innovations were developed and implemented by cosmoblonde GmbH and the relaunch was made possible by the support of the Kuratorium Preußischer Kulturbesitz.
