On the death of Otto Piene

Hermann Parzinger, President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, comments on the death of the Zero artist: "Otto Piene epitomises the great spirit of optimism of the 1960s. With his works, he pushed forward into completely new dimensions of art. His installation in the Neue Nationalgalerie enchants us all. We are grateful that he was still able to contribute to it and experience the opening."
