"Notturno" - Nightly chamber concert on 14 June in the new General Reading Room of the Staatsbibliothek in the Unter den Linden building

Horn trio combined with an exclusive tour of the glass cube. As part of the chamber concert series "Notturno", which the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin has been organising in cooperation with the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation since 2010, the DSO invites you to the new General Reading Room of the Staatsbibliothek in the Unter den Linden building on 14 June. The last nocturnal chamber concert of the season has been sold out for weeks.
After the welcoming address at 9 pm by Dr Roland Schmidt-Hensel, Deputy Head of the Music Department of the State Library, concertgoers will have the opportunity to take part in exclusive short tours of the recently completed building by star architect HG Merz. The one-hour concert with the Keren Trio begins at 10 pm. The chamber music ensemble of the DSO, consisting of Ozan Cakar (horn), Kamila Glass (violin) and Anna Kirichenko (piano), explores the tonal possibilities of the horn trio genre.
In the three years since the start of the co-operation between the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the 'Notturno' chamber concert series has developed into a real success story. The interdisciplinary approach of performing high-quality chamber music in museums and other cultural venues captures the zeitgeist of Berlin's interested and open-minded audience: all subscriptions for the upcoming season with concerts at the Alte Nationalgalerie (25 October 2013), Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart (10 January 2014) and Sammlung Scharf-Gerstenberg (11 April 2014) are already sold out, with remaining tickets still available for individual dates.
