Third issue of the SPK magazine shows the "SPK in motion"
Press release from 07/04/2011
The SPK magazine was published for the third time at the beginning of July 2011. After focussing on "Discover" and "Future", the current issue focuses on "Movement".
Hermann Parzinger, President of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, emphasises: "There is a lot going on at the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation at the moment: in future, the Foundation and its five institutions will present themselves with a new joint image that conveys both the similarities and the affiliation of the institutions to the SPK as an umbrella organisation, and the plans for the Humboldt Forum have been given new impetus by an international workshop and the opening of the Humboldt Box."
Other main topics of the current issue include the 350th anniversary of the Berlin State Library, the Children's Academy of the National Museums in Berlin, which has been running since September 2010, and the latest results of music research within the SPK, which could only be achieved through the collaboration of the two institutions, the State Institute for Music Research and the Secret State Archives PK. A series of images entitled "Snapshots - Motion everywhere" with pulsating streams of visitors, shots of architectural compositions and complex work processes in the SPK workshops impressively presents places and moments of movement.
The SPK magazine is published annually as a bilingual edition. The first two magazines were honoured with international awards in the fields of design and PR / corporate communication respectively.
The current magazine can be downloaded from the website of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation. The printed edition can be ordered from the online shop for 3.50 euros.
