“As the director of administration, I am responsible for the areas of finance, law, communication, and marketing at the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek (German Digital Library). My tasks include, for example, budget management and the strategic coordination and content design of the DDB's public relations work.

In the first few days, I was especially pleased to be welcomed by an incredibly committed team that is passionate about making Germany's cultural heritage accessible through the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek.

One of my "favorite things" is still a very new addition to our range: DDBstudio, which the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek has offered since the end of 2019. It's a free tool that institutions can use to create and present virtual exhibitions themselves. Any institution that is registered with the DDB can use this service and bring to life the data that can be found in the DDB.

After an intensive and technically elaborate development phase, we now need to make the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek as a whole better known and even easier to experience for the public and the various target groups. I am very much looking forward to being part of this process and contributing to it!”
