From 13 to 16 July 2022, the settings of the mass by Renaissance composer Josquin des Prez (1450–1521) are the focus of an eight-part concert series at Berlin’s Pierre Boulez Saal. Leading up to the live performances, an extensive online platform is introducing the composer and his world. In addition to the music, it also explores connections to the visual arts of the time in a digital museum tour presenting numerous works from the Gemäldegalerie Berlin (Old Master Paintings).
