Deutsches Historisches Museum (German Historical Museum) and Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) condemn terrorist attack on Israel – Joint Statement
The Deutsches Historisches Museum and the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz are stunned by the attack on Israel. We are appalled by these atrocious crimes, by the cruelty and viciousness of the perpetrators, by the unconscionability and foolish naiveness of those who support and justify them. Conscious of German history and the German reason of state that follows from it, we stand by Israel's side. We mourn the many victims and express our sympathy to their families. We hope for the recovery of the injured and the liberation of the hostages. At the same time, we oppose any form of anti-Semitism. As cultural and scientific institutions, we share responsibility for ensuring that hatred of Jews has no place in this society.
