Compensation and Performance-Based Bonuses

The Tarifverträge des öffentlichen Dienstes (collective bargaining agreements regulating public-sector compensation) and all federal laws and regulations apply to the roughly 2,000 employees of the Stiftung Preussischer Kulturbesitz (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation). Performance-based annual bonuses may also be awarded.

Employee compensation is based on job description, qualifications, and professional experience. Supplements and bonuses are possible for certain professional groups with special qualifications.

Salaried employees (“Tarifbeschäftigte”) receive an annual bonus in addition to their monthly salary. For civil servants, it is added proportionally to the earnings they receive monthly. All employees can also receive an annual performance-based bonus.

The Foundation supports its employees with an employer contribution via the Versorgungsanstalt des Bundes und der Länder (Federal and State Pension Office, VBL) with tax-advantaged payments and a private pension plan.
