Since June 2022, the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin has been presenting the first donation of close to 10,000 object images from the Gemäldegalerie (Old Master Paintings) and the Münzkabinett (Numismatic Collection) that are now in the Wikimedia media archive. This “data donation” was exemplarily coordinated and initiated by the Institut für Museumsforschung (Institute for Museum Research) – Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin.
